Who We Are
Mind Oasis is a specialist psychiatry practice. We see adults, adolescents and children at our clinics in Strathfield, Sydney and Brighton, Melbourne (Opening late 2026), and by telehealth across Australia.
The practice was established in 2020 by Dr Charles Chan, Consultant Psychiatrist, to bring psychiatrists and specialists together in one practice so that patients could be assessed and treated by a coordinated team rather than referred from place to place. Our team includes consultant psychiatrists working across adult, child and adolescent, and old age psychiatry, a developmental paediatrician and a registered nurse.
Between them, they see people with mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, autism, eating disorders, and memory and cognitive disorders, and provide treatments including transcranial magnetic stimulation and esketamine.
An Oasis of Calm
An oasis is somewhere to stop, take stock and recover. That is the intention behind the practice — a setting where you can talk openly about what is happening for you, without judgement.
We work to a biopsychosocial model, which means we assess the whole person: physical health, psychological factors, relationships, work and social circumstances, rather than symptoms in isolation. Treatment is planned with you and may involve medication, psychological therapy, procedural treatments, or a combination, depending on the diagnosis and what you are comfortable with.
Appointments are unhurried and move at a pace that suits you. Where more than one of our clinicians is involved in your care, we discuss your progress as a team, with your consent, and write back to your GP or referring doctor.
