Dr Oliver Burgess completed medical school at the University of Adelaide in 2012, winning the psychiatry intern of the year before beginning registrar training in 2014 and gaining Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists with a Certificate of Advanced Training in Forensic Psychiatry in 2019.

Working Experience
Dr Burgess has works in the South Australian Forensic Service in acute, rehabilitation and outpatient roles. He has been asked to provide psychiatric expert evidence to the Supreme Court of South Australia. He was instrumental in the development of South Australian prison psychiatry team, where he is now the Head of Unit.
He approaches patients through a non-judgemental strengths-based manner. Seeking to develop a joint understanding of problems and practical management plans.
