Dr Namrata Shetty
Dr Namrata Shetty is a Fellow of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and holds a Fellowship Certificate in Psychiatry of Old Age. She has extensive experience in general adult and old age psychiatry, with a keen interest in psychopharmacology and psychiatric issues seen in the elderly including neurocognitive disorders. Dr Shetty is a budding researcher with her work focussing in Psychiatric Disorders within the Geriatric population. In line with her interest in promoting understanding of psychiatric conditions, she conducts educational sessions for doctors and allied health services in addition to being an examiner for medical students with the University of Newcastle. Her expertise is in the area of Adult ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Depression (including Mood Disorders such as Bipolar Disorder), Personality Disorders, Psychosis, Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD) and Capacity Assessments.
Dr Shetty offers assessment, formulation and treatment for patients over 18 years of age through inpatient and outpatient settings.
Dr Namrata Shetty is available on Wednesday. She is fluent in English, Hindi and Tulu.
